About — 005 / Who we are

Built on one material, done properly.

Elementum is a Wellington-based concrete polishing operation. We work exclusively on existing slabs — grinding, polishing, and sealing to architectural finish.

We treat concrete the way a stonemason treats marble — as a material with grain, character, and the capacity to hold a mirror finish for a century.

Our process is methodical. We work through a sequence of diamond tooling passes, densifying the slab at the right stage, and finishing to the specified level of clarity. Nothing is rushed and nothing is improvised.

We work exclusively on existing concrete slabs. We don't pour, we don't coat asphalt — we grind, polish, seal, and repair. That focus is what lets us guarantee finish, flatness, and gloss to architectural specification.

Based in Wellington, we serve the greater Wellington region including the Hutt Valley, Porirua, and Kapiti Coast. For larger commercial projects, we travel throughout the North Island.

Concrete surface detail
“The first thing I'll tell any client is that polishing reveals a slab — it doesn't replace one. If your concrete has character, we'll bring it out. If it has problems, we'll find them. That conversation happens before we start, not after.”

Honest assessments

We'll tell you if your slab isn't a good candidate for a mechanical polish. Grinding is irreversible — we won't start a job we can't finish to standard. Sometimes that means talking a client out of polishing entirely.

Singular focus

We don't lay flooring, pour slabs, or coat asphalt. Concrete polishing is all we do. That focus means every job gets the same level of preparation, sequencing, and attention to the surface we're working with.

No surprises

Aggregate exposure, joint lines, old patches — existing features will become more visible as we grind. We document the slab before we touch it and walk you through what to expect before the work begins.
